A talented and skilled midfielder, Martino enters his first full season with the Galaxy after being acquired by the club in May 2006 from Columbus. The 2002 MLS Rookie of the Year, Martino, whose first start of 2007 will be the 100th of his MLS career, is one of the league's best players with the ball at his feet and adds a level of ability to the Galaxy midfield that is not often seen in MLS. Those talents have also caught the eye of coaches with the U.S. National Team, helping earn the 26-year old eight caps since November 2002 when he made his National Team debut against El Salvador.
