The Los Angeles Galaxy and the Galaxy Foundation are dedicated to giving back to the community. Through the support of various programs and activities, we continue to affect the lives of numerous youth in our community. One such program that has such a profound affect is the Galaxy Foundation's Kicks For Kids (KFK) program.

KFK is a ticket donation program that aims to provide local charities and youth organizations with an opportunity to attend Galaxy home games. Many children within these youth groups rarely, if ever, attend any sporting event, let alone a Galaxy soccer game. What better way to assist the community than to provide unique opportunities for youth to participate in something that is otherwise unavailable to them?

Kicks For Kids started off with a bang during the Galaxy's home opener on Thursday, April 3rd versus the San Jose Earthquakes. The 2-0 defeat over the Quakes was not the only reward of the night; the foundation took great enjoyment in the excitement the KFK groups experienced during the game. Banners were shot up at every opportunity, chanting was constant, and the KFK atmosphere was at an all time high when Beckham and Donovan scored a goal to reel in the win.

After speaking with a few of the KFK kids in attendance, they could not contain their excitement in seeing many of their favorite athletes perform. One excited youngster from Casa De Amigos even went so far as to say, "It's all about Donovan!" The chaperones of these groups had great fun as well. They could not express enough gratitude to the KFK community partners for allowing their children the opportunity to attend a soccer game. They too found it rewarding that these young children were granted the chance at seeing their idols and role models play.

Once more, the Galaxy Foundation and our Kicks For Kids Community Partners would like to thank all the Kicks For Kids groups in attendance. Your enjoyment is what makes our efforts worthwhile, and we hope to see you all at many more games to come!
